Music, to me, is not simply sound or technique, but a way of developing emotional clarity, awareness, and expression. My teaching is based on the belief that true pianistic progress comes from the balance of technical control, musical understanding, and attentive listening. The aim is not only to play accurately, but to understand the structure, character, and meaning of the music.
I hold advanced academic qualifications in piano performance and musicology (Master‘s Degree in Piano performance and musicology) and my approach is shaped equally by performance practice and analytical study. This allows students to develop both technical confidence and interpretative independence.
With over 24 years of teaching experience in London, I have worked with more than 300 students, including adult learners, professionals, and dedicated amateurs. Lessons are individually structured, focusing on technical stability, tone production, physical ease, stylistic clarity, and efficient practice. Progress is systematic and thoughtful, with emphasis on lasting understanding rather than short-term results.
Alongside teaching, I organise and contribute to concerts and educational events, including projects at the Royal Academy of Music Museum and within the City of Westminster.
Private piano lessons are available in Central London, including Marylebone and Westminster, for students seeking a serious, refined, and musically informed approach to piano study.
